SOCIAL MEDIA REAL TALK:The need to document everything
What is Social Media? Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks. The Office of Communications and Marketing manages the main Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts.
We live in a time where social media has developed and become easily accessible to everyone around the world , as a result social media acts as a reflection of what the world looks like .
Of late there's been a need to document everything about your life , the good , the bad and the ugly especially among public figures. But is this really necessary?
Oversharing
Do you know how to set boundaries on what you can share on social media if you are a public figure ? Or do you build walls when you feel like you've shared more than what you were actually supposed to share
. As a public figure it can be a bit demanding to share what's happening in your life day _ day , but you honestly don't owe anyone an explanation as to why you post what you post or only share what you are cormfotable with as a person . Remember before Instagram, Twitter and Facebook there was you the human being and this certain urgency to overshare on your platform isn't really necessary . Learning how to protect your art and mental state is the most important thing in this world and confiding to the pressure that you have to speak about everything that is happening in your life isn't really necessary , unless you actually are cormfotable doing it , I mean some people clearly have made an entire brand by just sharing what happens in their lives and how they run their day to day lives.
I'd really like to know what you think about the need to document every single aspect of you life on social media . Feel free to interact with me on the following socials and listen to my podcast using the link down below .Ann cheera's socials
